Percussive Stone® Therapy

Percussive Stone® therapy combines thermo, cryo, and vibrational therapies in to a technique that interrupts the muscle spindles (memory) thereby releasing muscle tension & soreness more effectively than traditional massage.
This technique gives you the results of a deep tissue or medical massage without the discomfort of regular deep tissue. I use this mostly on my athletes, trainers, and medical massage clients.

Medical Massage

While relaxation massage can successfully relax you or relieve some stress, medical massage will produce tangible results. Medical massage is something that is planned out with a very specific goal in mind. I often partner with a Chiropractor, Neurologist, Physical Therapist, or MD to create optimal results for my patients.

Deep Tissue Massage

This modality uses slow, firm pressure to release tight muscle tension. I will focus more on the deeper layers of muscle tissue, tendons, ligaments, and fascia tissue. This type of work is especially helpful for chronic issues in the body.

About Karri

I graduated from the Minneapolis School of Massage & Bodyworks in 2006. At that time, my goal was to work part time out of my home and do 9 massages per month. Shortly after
graduation I received an offer of employment from a chiropractor’s office in Elk River and
worked there for a year. I was encouraged by another massage therapist friend to go out on
my own by renting from her. I took her up on the opportunity and loved being my own boss.

Since that encouraging moment I’ve continued looking for things to expand my skills, so I went
on to complete my Reiki Master Instructor and my Crystal Healing Practitioner certificates in
2006. I loved doing the energy healing, so I completed my Karuna Reiki Master Practitioner in
2008.

As much as I enjoyed my new skillset, I felt a draw for more. I continued my education to
complete my MBLEx License in 2012 along with Chinese Fire Cupping that same year.

I knew I wanted to take my knowledge even further and start teaching, so I inquired at the
Minnesota School of Business about what qualifications were needed. As it turns out I had all
the qualifications, except an actual Associates in Massage Therapy. I decided to go back to
school where I obtain my Associates of Applied Science in Massage Therapy. During this time, I
was offered a position at the school teaching Swedish Massage while I worked on completing
my degree. This allowed me to dually complete my courses while being an instructor until I
graduated in 2013.

Once I got the bug to teach, I decided to take my Percussive Stone® therapy to a whole new
level. I trademarked the name and started teaching other massage therapist. The feedback has
been fantastic, and I am now applying for my approved provider using the Percussive Stone®
therapy that I am proud to have developed. Once this is completed, I will be able to give
continuing education credit to other massage therapist.

Finally, but most certainly not least, in 2020 I took my Equine Sports Massage Therapy
certificate and started to work with my horse clientele. This has been an absolute joy to be
able to help not only the people but the horses that I love.
